Gun-dog training videos |

In 1998 Edward Martin was approached by Sporting Scene the makers of some fine sporting videos, to see if there was any possibility of him showing his particular method of training to a wider audience. Several clients had for long been asking him to write a book on his method of training bot puppies, adults and refresher adults, for spaniel and retriever gun-dog. Edward felt the time was now right for the making of a video. Filming took place over a nine month period, from May through to the end of the shooting season the following January. It soon became obvious that there was too much valuable detail for a single video, so the idea of the "Masterclass Series" was born. Quite unlike any previous training videos, this set of videos shows a variety of abilities and standards of gun-dog. Once again the Sealpin attention to detail philosophy is brought into play, paying close attention to making the viewer aware of potential problem areas and how to deal with them. The results have been very warmly recieved by those who have seen and reviewed them and Sealpin hopes that these videos will help an even wider range of people benifit from Edwards experience. |

| During the 2000 to 2001 season Edward completed the second
series of Training Video's,with Sporting Scene. These consist of a set of four training tapes, dealing entirely with Cocker Spaniels. As previously a mix of our own and Clients dogs are used throughout. They are without doubt the closest observation of a gun-dog trainer at work.As Edward says, he has shown a lot of fine detail, of overcoming retrieving probleins, encouragement and the many different responses to diffident behaviour in Cocker Spaniels He says they are all little individual people and need treating as such, to get their loyalty and the best out of them. |
