Sealpin latest - Feb 2002

Home news.

Having narrowly failed to 'make up' the red cocker bitch,Miss Alexandrovna, after four seconds in Open Trials, during the season. We went to the Spaniel Championships without a dog.
Edward was given the enviable task of 'chaperoning'our host, the Earl of Yarborough, his Agent,Mr Henry and several of the Sponsers, including Calor Gas,Land-Rover and Chudleys',Dodson and Horrell. This enabled him to be right behind the line,in order to explain proceedings to the guests.
The Championships themselves have been well aired in the press, suffice to say,it was held on excellent ground,in superb conditions, with every help and consideration for each dog and handler,to be shown to advantage.

-------------------------
At home we have been very pleased with our litter of Labradors, out of Tullymoran Maid,by Sealpin Ronde, her first litter, born on the 26th November. They are very solid strong puppies,out-going and sensible! One of the bitches is going to Sweden,we are keeping the other two bitches and the dogs are going to our clients waiting for their specific type.

Wanda of Wexford had another litter to Sealpin Enigma on the 13th January, very forward indeed, stalking about in the whelping box at two and half weeks, all spoken for by current clients bar one bitch,we shall be keeping on for further training,to meet clients requirements.

CRUFTS 2002.

Edward has been invited to give the Gun-dog Demonstration,on Gun-dog day at Crufts again this year.He was unable to do it last year due to the foot and mouth outbreak. He is busy preparing the team for this event, which will include cockers ,springers and Labradors. He is once again indebted to the local indoor riding school for the use of their facilities,in enabling the dogs to work in an indoor arena.

Edward will also be present each day on the Kennel Club, 'DOG DAYS OUT' stand in Hall 3A,with a group of dogs at heel,in order to speak with the general public about training and also do occasional short training sessions in an adjacent small ring.Crufts is at the N.E.C.Birmingham 7th-10th March.

Visits and Visitors to Sealpin.

Here at the kennels we continue to enjoy a variety of visitors, from many parts of the world.Managing to fit in coffee, tea and occasional lunches etc.,along with inspecting the dogs here in training.Edwards forte,as well as the training,is showing them off to interested parties.
He has been invited to do a training seminar in Southern Sweden,Kristianstad,in early May and to judge tests at the Swedish Game Fair up in Stockholm at the end of May.The training video's have been a great help to many overseas handlers.
We have a young trained Labrador dog going to France this summer,to a client who is needing a second Sealpin dog. Also a lovely pale yellow bitch going out to New Hampshire ,at the conclusion of her initial training,a daughter of Sealpin Enigma, she will join a client with two previous dogs from our kennels.
